Howitt Park: This childrens playground is a favourite amongst young children for its large area to have so much fun and shady trees to rest when they are tired, it also has a flying fox to keep them entertained for hours. The perfect spot for parents to relax while their children have all the fun.
St. Mary's Catholic Church: Located next to the information centre in Bairnsdale, the church features magnificent architecture and both unique and interesting murals, painted on the walls. St Mary's church is a beautiful and peaceful place to pray or just visit.
Mitchell River National Park: Popular for walking, canoeing and rafting, it contains the Mitchell River Gorge along with luxuriant rainforests and the intriguing Den of Nargun, a small cave which, according to Aboriginal legend, was haunted by a strange half-stone creature, known as `nargun'. There are some good short walks throughout the park.
Golvinda Winery: Established in 1977, this winery is the only one of its kind, featuring a golf course, there can be no better way to end the day. Although the cellar door is distinctly 1970's, the wines are well made.
