Getting Around

Melbourne's comprehensive network of public transport consists of one of the worlds most extensive tramway systems, electric suburban railways and urban buses. A free city-circle tram operates for the many tourists and passes many city sights. Other tram routes can reach out to South Yarra and Toorak and down St Kilda Road to St. Kilda. This tram runs every 10 minutes from 1000 to 1800.The principal railway station is Flinders Street and most trains travel the underground loop which circles the city centre with useful stops at Flagstaff, Museum, Parliament and Spencer Street.
