Delprats: Broken Hill Undergroud Mine which is open for tourists to explore, gives a fascinating insight into the work and handling of the mine. You will travel 200 m underground right into the heart of the mine, as the workers experience everyday. For more information, Ph. 080 88 1604.
White's mineral Art Gallery and Mining Museum, Broken Hill: Features include a walk in mine and artworks representing the mining industry. There are also videos to see and guided tours available. Open Daily from 0900 to 1800. Ph: 080 87 2878.
Pro Hart Gallery, Broken Hill: The gallery features works by one of Australia's most famous artists. There are also private collections of Australian and European Art. Open 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday, this gallery displays the world's greatest talent.
Royal Flying Doctor Service Base, Broken Hill: Located at the airport. You can undertake a tour, watch a historical video and see the radio room, aircraft and the headquarters of the base. Bookings can be made at the Broken Hill Tourist Centre.
Sundown Nature Trail: This is one of the best places to see the beautiful outback sunsets, walking along this trail with the beautiful fauna and wildlife is relaxing during the day and the sunset at night just adds to the exquisite scenery. Located 10 km north east of Broken Hill off the Silver City Highway.
Scotia Sanctuary: Located between Broken Hill & Wentworth. You can stay overnight or for several nights. You can go on wilderness tours or explore the 150 km of marked tracks yourself, discover the habits of wildlife and admire the fantastic bushlands which ever you choose, you are guaranteed to never run out of things to see and do.
