The House is a gracious Edwardian villa, rich in the elegance of a bygone era but offering all the comforts expected of a fine country Bed and Breakfast.

Days at Hawthorne begin with a delicious country breakfast, served in the privacy of your room or shared in the Dining room. Breakfast is included in our tariff. For your lunch and dinner needs, there is an excellent choice of wonderful restaurants and cafe's within a short drive. Or if you like dinner can be at Hawthorne by prior arrangement.

Each of the five spacious, individually furnished rooms open onto deep verandahs which lead directly into the garden.

Four Another picture of the hotel guest rooms are doubles with queen sized beds and one is a king or can be made up into two single beds. All rooms have an ensuite bathroom with a shower, and one is equipped for disabled guests.

There is also a large and elegant living room for the sole use of guests to relax in.

The house is smoke free but the ample covered verandahs allow for those who wish to indulge.

After breakfast the day is yours to simply relax or explore the delights of Hawke's Bay. The unique landscape contains stunning scenery and is full of attractions to suit all tastes.
