The Pelorus Lodge experience begins when you enter the 30 acre woodland property where New Zealand native trees, flaxes, grasses and ferns flourish in the shelter of tall Claret Ash and Tasmanian Blackwood trees. Water splashes over large rocks as you pass through a ford, with waterfall and pond framed by native wetland plantings.

Entering the lodge building, you are surrounded by lush plant growth with the sound of water cascading over a local Pukaka rock waterfall. Greens, tartan and a rustic mix of furniture and fine
