We journey north via the 'lobster fishing' town of Port Denison where we stop for lunch (own expense) by the waters edge. We continue north across the Greenough Flats, better known for unusual 'leaning trees', then to the world heritage listed area of Shark Bay to our overnight accommodation located at the Monkey Mia beach where the dolphins come in.

Overnight: Monkey Mia Dolphin Resort or similar.

Day 2 Monkey Mia to Kalbarri (B)

Our accommodation is located right at the dolphin interaction beach, you can spend extra time at the waters edge this morning where you may encounter a visit by the famous Monkey Mia dolphins. As they are wild, dolphin appearances can't be guaranteed but coming in at regular times through the day to interact with people has been a ritual for many years. The opportunity to join an optional cruise on a 60 foot sailing catamaran the 'Shotover' is also available this morning (own expense). Enjoy unique encounters with dolphins, sharks or even the elusive dugong as Shotover quietly glides through the calm waters. This afternoon we visit the town of Denham for lunch (own expense), incredible Shell Beach and Stromatolites before travelling south to Kalbarri. Known for wildflowers (in season) and magnificent rocky landscapes we visit Hawks Head in Kalbarri National Park, one of the areas most spectacular red river gorges.

Day 3 Kalbarri to Perth (B)

Homeward bound, we enjoy sightseeing along the Kalbarri coastal gorges then travel south breaking for lunch (own expense) at the rock lobster fishing village of Cervantes gateway to the Pinnacles Desert, an amazing moon-like landscape and truly one of Australia's most mystical experiences. Time will be allowed to stroll among these limestone spires and take photographs, with arrival back in Perth at approximately 7.00 pm.
