Region: Red Centre and Central Australia (NT) | Duration: 3 Days | Commences: Ayers Rock

Day 1. Kata Tjuta (Olgas), Uluru (Ayers Rock).
Arrive at Ayers Rock Airport before 1.00 p.m. and be transferred to your hotel. This afternoon we drive out to Kata Tjuta, a magnificent cluster of 36 rocky domes that dominate the western skyline of Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. Enjoy the opportunity to join a walk into Olga Gorge (Walpa Gorge), where some of the plants are so rare that they are only found in and around these distinct sandstone monoliths. Listen to ancient tales of the Tjukurpa (Dreamtime) period that are closely linked to the domes of Kata Tjuta. Late this afternoon, stop and enjoy a glass of wine with our compliments as you watch Uluru at sunset. Admire the ever-changing colours of Uluru as the sun sinks beneath the desert plain.
Stay: Ayers Rock Resort, choice of hotel.

Day 2. Uluru Base Tour, Mala Walk, Kings Canyon.
Rise early to see Uluru at sunrise, followed by a guided walk to the waterhole of Mutitjulu. Join the guided Mala Walk along the base of Uluru, learning about the legends, geology and flora of the region. Explore Kantju Gorge, a sacred waterhole with near-vertical walls rising from the water's edge. Alternatively, forgo the Mutitjulu and Mala walks and climb Uluru for spectacular views. Then visit the Cultural Centre and Maruku Arts and Craft Cooperative. Journey to Watarrka National Park, home to Kings Canyon.
Stay: Kings Canyon Resort, choice of hotel.

Day 3. Kings Canyon Walk, Alice Springs.
This morning enjoy a guided walk up to the rim of awe-inspiring Kings Canyon. Walk through the ancient 'Lost City' and the lush 'Garden of Eden' to a waterhole (requires a good degree of fitness). Another walk along the canyon floor is also available. This gentler alternative leads to the natural amphitheatre of the canyon and includes commentary on the surrounding plants and animals. This afternoon travel to Kings Creek Station, an enormous operating cattle property. Together with its cattle operations, the station herds and exports wild camels to Arabian countries for breeding and racing. Learn about life on an Outback property before continuing on to the township of Alice Springs, arriving at 6.30 p.m.
