Day 1
The Bay of Islands is rich in New Zealand pioneering history. The Waitangi Treaty House and New Zealand's first capital near Russell are significant to the early political relationship between the Maori and early European settlers.

Highlights of the tour include The North Shore. Head over the Harbour Bridge via Auckland's northern suburbs. Then we go to the Hibiscus Coast, a popular holiday and retirement resort with beautiful beaches, Whangarei; Northland's only city and largest port.

Waitangi Treaty House, the site of the historic treaty between the Maori meeting house and large war canoe. We then travel across the bay to the beginning of European colonisation on the Fullers Ferry.

Join Russell Mini Tours for sightseeing around this fascinating township with its early whaling and political history. Enjoy lunch (at own cost) and shopping along the waterfront before joining the ferry back to Paihia.

Inn Paihia take time to explore the busier side of the bay with its shops and arcades. You may even see a big game fish being weighed in at the wharf, before going to your accommodation at Paihia Holiday Motor Inn.

Day 2
Join a full day tour to the top of the North Island with a Cape Reinga Tour. Be over awed by these huge native Kauri trees at Puketi Kauri Forest, that are hundreds of years old.

Travel by coach along the beautiful and magnificent Ninety Mile Beach before climbing the huge sand dunes of Te Paki Stream. We then have our lunch near the spectacular locaton of Cape Reinga.

We then go to the Wagener Museum with displays featuring Northland's early pioneers. We then return to Paihia, arrive at your hotel at approximately 1830.

Day 3
Transfer to Paihia wharf to join the days highlight. Cruise by spectacular islands that make this location famous, as you head to Cape Brett. Travel through the Hole in the Rock the highlight of your tour (subject to sea conditions). Then we go to Urapukapuka Island, for some exploring, or join the Subsea Underwater Adventure (optional at extra cost).

Spend the afternoon on the beach at Paihia or at the poolside of the Paihia Holiday Motor Inn. We then return to Auckland, your coach will pick you up from the hotel.
