During your week on 'Coral Trekker' you will visit Whitehaven, one of the world's most beautiful beaches with miles of pure white silica sand. Hike through rainforests and discover Aboriginal rock art before taking a swim in a fabulous natural water-hole. At the end of the day enjoy a beach barbecue at one of our favourite coves under the shroud of a spectacular bonfire sunset.

Join the crew in the rigging (they'll show you the ropes), snorkel, scuba dive, stroll secluded beaches or laze on the wide decks in the tropical sun. The food is fresh, wholesome and plentiful. Accommodation for 16 guests is in double, 4 and 6 berth cabins or camp ashore in 2 person tents - the choice is yours. Travelling alone, with a group or family, you will have a wonderful time aboard 'Coral Trekker'.

6 Night Cruise Itinerary

Saturday: Airlie Beach/Hook Island - Boarding at 1.00pm at Abel Point Marina. Set sail for Blue Pearl Bay on Hayman Island for our overnight anchorage.

Sunday: Hayman Island - After breakfast go snorkelling, scuba diving or hike to the top of the island to view the magical Whitsundays. After lunch we set sail for the Outer Barrier Reef. Overnight at Bail Reef.

Monday: Outer Barrier Reef/Hook Island- Explore the wonders of the Outer Barrier Reef. Try your hand at Scuba diving and snorkelling under the guidance of our diving instructor. After morning tea we set sail for Nara Inlet on Hook Island - a fjord like inlet where we hike through rainforests to view ancient cave paintings.

Tuesday: Whitsunday Passage/Shute Harbour - After a leisurely breakfast and a hike up to the Nara Caves we sail via Whitsunday passage to Shute Harbour.
Shute Harbour/Border Island - We depart Shute Harbour at 12.30pm under sail for Cataran Bay on Border Island for our overnight anchorage.

Wednesday: Border Island/Whitsunday Island - After a mornings snorkelling or scuba diving the fringing reefs we take a hike up Mosstrooper Peak on Border Island. After lunch we sail to the famous Whitehaven Beach on Whitsunday Island for beach-combing, beach volleyball or just lazing in the sun.

Thursday: Whitsunday Island/Long Island - After breakfast and a quick swim, we set sail through Solway Pass via Hamilton Island to South Molle Island. At South Molle Island you can go ashore to visit the resort or join a rainforest hike.

Friday: South Molle Island/Airlie Beach - The cruise returns to Airlie Beach at around 10 am.

How to get there: BY AIR - All domestic airlines have flights into either Proserpine or Hamilton airports. There is a shuttle bus service from Proserpine airport to Abel Point Marina, Airlie Beach (cost $11.00) and a launch or air service from Hamilton Island to Shute Harbour ($45.00 each way). The bus from Shute Harbour to Abel Point costs approx. $3.50. BY ROAD - Alternatively there are several coachlines offering services to Airlie Beach from North and South.

What to Bring: Our guests need very little clothing. For much of the year the climate is ideal, warm sunny days and tropical nights. However during the winter months the nights can be a little cool (12-15ºC). We suggest the following: light weight pants or dresses, shorts, long sleeved shirts, waterproof/windproof jacket, swimmers and towel, hat, sandals, cotton sweatshirt (winter), tracksuit (winter), pair of walking shoes or sandshoes that can get wet and socks and underwear as normal. Musical instruments also adds to the fun evenings spent around the BBQ bonfire. We require that only soft luggage be taken on board to facilitate stowage.
