The body of water is a unique attraction in itself: more than 110 square miles of natural, protected harbour surrounding the crumbling history of Sarah Island and giving way to the open ocean through narrow and turbulent hell's gates. The Gordon River, Macquarie Harbour, rainforests and ruins, hell and high water, this is a cruise unlike any other.

Your adventure begins with a tranquil glide down the Gordon, taking in the endless tracks of untouched rainforest reflected in the still, tea - coloured waters. At heritage landing you disembark to stroll on the elevated walkway, enjoying the most intimate rainforest experience possible. The highlight of the wilderness walk is the 2000 year old Huon Pine.

Re-emerging from the Gordon, you glide back into Macquarie Harbour having a stop at Sarah Island so you can discover it's convicts ruins and history. Venture out to the wild and often treacherous Hell's Gates, aptly named by the convicts. Shipwrecks, great escapes and long forgotten hero's, a lifetime of stories are hiding within the narrow entrance to Macquarie Harbour.

Morning tea is served on the half day cruise, and the patrons of the full day cruise are treated to a mouth watering smorgasbord luncheon.
