Historic Bay of Islands Tour

Region: Auckland and the Coromandel | Duration: 1 day | Commences: Auckland

Travel north over the Auckland Harbour Bridge to enjoy spectacular rural and coastal scenery enroute to the Bay of Islands.

On arrival in the Bay visit the historic Waitangi Treaty House and grounds. See the audio visual display, a traditional Maori Meeting House and the huge 'waka' (war canoe).

Board "Bay Belle" the ferry from Paihia to historic Russell, New Zealand's early capital. Enjoy a mini-tour of the area with a local guide, and then wander along the waterfront with its cafes, museums and craft shops.

Return to Paihia and rejoin the coach for the trip back to Auckland.
