Inter-Islander Ferry
The Interislander cruises from New Zealand's capital city, Wellington, in the North Island, across to Picton, which is nestled in the heart of the Marlborough Sounds in the South Island. The cruising time for Arahura and Aratere is three hours.
Both ships provide a wide range of onboard facilities and entertainment - as well as comfortable lounges and decks from which you can take in the view.
Aratere is the newest ship of The Interislander fleet - launched in January 1999. The crossing on Aratere will take approximately 3 hours, so you have plenty of time to sit back, relax and make the most of some of New Zealand's finest scenery.
Arahura is the largest passenger ship of The Interislander fleet. Enjoy the wide range of facilities onboard, while taking in some of the most breath taking scenery New Zealand has to offer.
Please Note: prices vary for larger cars, motorhomes and other vehicles.
Vehicles over the 5.5 metres will incur an extra fee rates availible on application.
