Day 1. Broome, Prison Tree, Gibb River Road, Tunnel Creek, Windjana Gorge National Park.
Depart Broome and begin your complete exploration of the awe-inspiring Kimberley region. At Derby, we visit the Boab Prison Tree, believed to be more than 1000 years old. There are also fascinating storyboards here, providing information on Kimberley culture, wildlife and plant life. Next, we begin our Gibb River Road journey, accessing some of the Kimberley's best scenery. We travel to remarkable Tunnel Creek, a 750 metre-long natural tunnel carved through the Napier Range. With torch in hand, we wade through the cool waters to view the wonderful oasis that awaits us on the other side. At Windjana Gorge, a short walk leads into the tranquil gorge, where sheer cliffs tower above white sands. View the ancient marine fossils in the limestone walls, which formed part of a reef during the Devonian Age. See crocodiles lazing on the banks of the Lennard River. Continue to our exclusive wilderness camp.
Two Night Stay: Imintji Wilderness Camp. (LD)

Day 2. Bell Gorge, Hiking and Swimming.
Back on to the Gibb River Road, we travel through Outback landscapes to Bell Gorge, nestled in the King Leopold Ranges Conservation Park, where rugged cliffs surround a series of tiered waterholes. Enjoy the afternoon to explore the spectacular scenery and perhaps swim below the waterfall which feeds the lower pool. Choose from a number of hiking opportunities, or simply relax in the idyllic surroundings. Head back to camp and relax before a delicious homestyle dinner. (BLD)

Day 3. Gibb River Road, Galvans Gorge, Barnett River Gorge, Drysdale River.
Today we travel through the heart of Kimberley cattle country to discover some of the region's most secluded gorges. At Galvans Gorge, a short walk leads to a picturesque waterhole, with Boab trees clinging to the escarpment above. At beautiful Barnett River Gorge, we enjoy lunch in a setting of shady paperbark trees. Look out for the birdlife that inhabits the area and enjoy a leisurely swim. We stop at the Mt Barnett Roadhouse before travelling towards the isolated Mitchell Plateau and cross the beautiful Drysdale River before arriving at our exclusive overnight wilderness camp.
Stay: King Edward River, Marunbabidi Wilderness Camp, relax in the tranquil bush setting. (BLD)

Day 4. Mitchell Plateau, Ancient Rock Art, King Edward River.
Ascending the Mitchell Plateau, we enter a remote world of Livistona palm forests, beautiful lookouts and ancient Aboriginal art. Today, explore amazing Wandjina and Gwion (Bradshaw) galleries and swim in the crystal-clear waters at the King Edward River Crossing. For the next two nights, we will stay in our permanent wilderness camp beside the Pandanus-fringed Camp Creek, at the top of the plateau in this remote and beautiful wilderness. Wildlife watchers will enjoy the region's prolific and unique birdlife.

Begin with a guided hike to Little Merten Falls to see impressive Aboriginal art. Continue through open woodland to view Bradshaw art and Big Merten Falls before arriving at Mitchell Falls. Swim in the pools above the falls, learn of local history and look for the region's endangered wildlife. You also have the opportunity to take an optional helicopter flight (own expense). (BLD)

Day 6. Mitchell Plateau, King Edward River.
Time for an early morning birdwatching walk or a swim at the camp waterhole before saying goodbye to Mitchell Plateau. Indulge in a picnic lunch at a majestic spot alongside the King Edward River, with time for a swim in the crystal-clear waters before continuing to our comfortable wilderness camp.

Day 7. Gibb River Road, El Questro Station.
We cross the mighty Durack River, named after the region's most famous pioneering family. Driving their cattle from Queensland in the 1880s, the Duracks took just over two years to reach the Kimberley, then proceeded to open up much of the land for grazing. Ford the Pentecost River to enter El Questro Station. Hike to Emma Gorge, where you can swim in the picturesque waterhole.
Stay: El Questro. (BLD)

Day 8. El Questro, Emma Gorge, Kununurra.
