Day 1
Depart Melbourne and journey along the Great Ocean Road - one of the world's most scenic coastal drives - with morning tea at the seaside town of Lorne.
As we follow the coastline, you will hear the story behind the making of the Great Ocean Road.
Travelling through the Otways rainforest, you will visit the magnificent Twelve Apostles and learn the tragic story of the Loch Ard shipwreck.
Overnight in the fishing village of Port Fairy.

Day 2
Drive from Port Fairy inland to the Grampians National Park.
Visit the Brambuk Cultural Centre and learn about the Aboriginal heritage of the region, where you will also have the opportunity of tasting some native "bush tucker" food.
Retrace the footsteps of explorer Major Thomas Mitchell, reading extracts from his diary as he led an expedition through the region in the 1830's. A short walk to Boroka Lookout offers an awe-inspiring view of the 400 million year old landscape.
Visit Blue Lake at Mt Gambier.
Overnight in Coonawarra district, one of the best wine districts in Australia

Day 3
In the morning we travel through,the scenic winery district, taste some of the award winning wine in some of the many wineries, before we head off to discover ancient fossils at the World Heritage listed Naracoorte Caves. Option - Cave tours are available. Travel via in-land route to Adelaide.

What to bring? It can often be quite cool and wet along the Great Ocean Road, so we always encourage people to bring warm clothing and a raincoat - especially for the Rainforest by Night walk. You will also need walking shoes. We ask clients to limit their luggage to 1 overnight bag only.
