Pro Dive PADI 5 Day Learn to Dive Course
During the first two days your instructor takes you through the academics of Scuba Diving, and then into the pool where you put the basics into practice.
At the end of day 2 you are invited to attend "Reef Teach", a Marine Biology Presentation. This enhances your Great Barrier Reef experience, it is not only extremely enjoyable, it is also highly
educational. There is no extra charge for this.
Day 3, 4, and 5 are spent on board a Pro Dive vessel out on the Great Barrier Reef. Whilst on the Reef you complete your 4 training/qualifying dives which completes your Open Water Certification.
After this you are able to go on and enjoy 5 more dives as a recreational diver, one of which is a night dive guided by an instructor. These dives on the Great Barrier Reef will be truly spectacular and
memorable and the highlight of your course. Scuba diving is the best possible way to experience this natural wonder of the World.
On the evening you return to Cairns, join the crew and fellow passengers for an exciting farewell dinner at a local restaurant.
Inclusions - On land
- PADI Gold Open Water Certificate, including 2 x passport photos - Accommodation transfers daily city and Northern Beaches
- "Reef Teach" Marine Biology presentation
- All dive equipment including dive computer, prescription mask if necessary, and long leg wetsuit
- All stationary needed for classroom activities
- PADI dive manual to keep

Extras
Underwater cameras are available for hire, cost is $35.00 which includes film.
Requirements
- Ability to swim
- Minimum age is 14 years, with no maximum age
- A Dive Medical will be required as some medical conditions may preclude you from
diving. Asthma, diabetes and epilepsy are the most common ones encountered.
Dive Medical will be arranged by Pro Dive on day 1 of course - a fee of $44.00 payable direct to the doctor - a history of Asthma, Diabetes, and pregnancy may exclude you from Scuba Diving. Australian Medical Standards are different to those over seas. A medical obtained in another country will most likely not be valid in
Australia.
Please Note: In the interest of safety we recommend you do not fly until the day after diving attend.
