Begin with an unforgettable coach trip on the historic Skippers Road along old goldminers trails into the Skippers Canyon. Meet your friendly and very highly experienced, professional river guides, who will run through a comprehensive safety and paddle technique briefings. Listen carefully....it's an important part of the day! Rafting from Deep Creek over peaceful waters at first, we head toward the exhilarating rapids of the lower Canyon, experiencing the memorable rapids Rock Garden, Sharks Fin, Toilet, Pinball, Jaws, Sequel and the unforgettable 170m Oxenbridge Tunnel, followed closely by Cascade Rapid.
Alternatively you can fly into Skippers Canyon by helicopter. In winter this is 'the only way to go'. The Shotover Combination with helicopter flight can be experienced in both Summer & Winter months.
