Thrifty Tours New Zealand Bay of Islands Leisurely
DAY 1: Auckland - Bay of Islands
Past Westhaven Marina, over the Harbour Bridge, through North Shore City and on to the Hibiscus Coast townships nestled amongst the many beautiful bays. Then on to Whangarei and Paihia. The afternoon is free for optional visits to Russell and the Waitangi National Reserve, etc. Stay 2 nights in Paihia.
DAY 2: Cape Reinga Day Tour (included)
No visit to the Bay of Islands is complete without venturing North to Cape Reinga via Puked Kauri Forest. Stroll through this tranquil native NZ forest and see giant Kauri trees. See the mighty Tasman Sea and Pacific Ocean crashing together. Zoom along the edge of the waves and sand of Ninety Mile Beach. Visit the "Time Machine" -Wagener Museum. Experience the North with your friendly and knowledgeable Coach Captain. Regular stops are made for sightseeing and refreshments. Overnight in Paihia.
DAY 3: Cruise - Bay of Islands -Auckland
First up you will enjoy a morning cruise around the Bay by fast and stable
catamaran to the Hole in the Rock and visiting some of the idyllic coves and
islands. In the afternoon you leave the Bay and travel back to Auckland via Whangarei and the Hibiscus Coast. Arrive Auckland at 5.35 pm.
